Eswatini Air Announces Dates for its Inaugural Flight.

Eswatini Air will launch flights in four phases. Each phase coincides with a new route launch and will also allow for the airline to receive more jets before expanding its flight operations. The airline also plans to use SHO as a hub to connect passengers between Harare, Durban, and Cape Town.

The first route will be launched on the 26th of March with double daily flights to Johannesburg (JNB, South Africa) from their base at King Mswati III International Airport (SHO, Eswatini). A third daily rotation is planned for introduction in May as the airline expects to have received a third ERJ145. Morning flights are scheduled as follows:

  • 0700 SHO >>> 0745 JNB
  • 0845 JNB >>> 0935 SHO

The late afternoon rotation will be as follows:

  • 1605 SHO >>> 1655 JNB
  • 1740 JNB >>> 1830 SHO

The 3rd daily rotation to JNB will be a mid afternoon flight scheduled as follows:

  • 1130 SHO >>> JNB 1220
  • 1410 JNB >>> SHO 1500

On the 14th of April, flights to Harare (HRE, Zimbabwe) will also be operated from SHO, and flight be operated four times weekly every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday. One way flights will start at about US$120. Flight times will be as follows:

  • 1015 SHO >>> 1145 HRE
  • 1400 HRE >>> 1530 SHO

Flights to Durban (DUR, South Africa) will be launched on the 5th of May with a daily flight being offered. One way flights will start from about US$70. Flight times will be as follows:

  • 1730 SHO >>> CPT 1830
  • 1955 CPT >>> SHO 2055

Cape Town (CPT, South Africa) will join the list of destinations on the 2nd of June with three weekly flights on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. One way tickets will start from US$115. Flight times will be as follows:

  • 1020 SHO >>> CPT 1250
  • 1340 CPT >>> SHO 1610
