TAAG Angola has placed an order for four Boeing 787 dreamliners, which will bolster its current widebody fleet and eventually replace them. Currently, the airlines widebody fleet consists of 8 Boeing 777 aircraft ( Three Boeing 777-200ER and five B777-300ER).
Eduardo Fairen, CEO of TAAG Angola Airlines said, “The 787 option suits our intent for modern, size-wise and efficient equipment, able to progressively replace our current widebody fleet, and provide our customers with an improved flight experience.” Anbessie Yitbarek, Boeing vice president of Commercial Sales and Marketing for Africa said, “The 787 Dreamliner will enable TAAG Angola Airlines to open new routes and expand their international network.”
