Ibom Air to Wet Lease 2 Airbus A320 Jets.

Ibom Air (IAN: Uyo, Nigeria) will be increasing capacity by adding two Airbus A320 jets. LY-FAS (msn 4273) is 12 years old and LY-GYM (msn 2584) is a 17 years old. The jets will be wet leased from GetJet Airlines.

Ibom Air currently has a fleet of 5 Bombardier CRJ900 jets and not so long ago they wet leased two A220s from Egypt Air. The two A220s were delivered in June 2021 and remained with the airline for about a year. One A220 was returned a in June 2022 whilst the second jet was returned the following month in August 2022. Ibom Air also has a firm order with Airbus for 10 A220 jets. Deliveries for these are scheduled to begin in 2023.
