Air Algérie orders new aircraft

Air Algérie has placed an order for 10 new Boeing 737 Max 8 jets to help renew its fleet by replacing older aircraft. Currently, the airline’s fleet includes the Boeing 737-600, 737-700NG, and 737-800NG. Deliveries for the new jets are scheduled to begin in July 2026, with plans for 5 aircraft to be delivered in 2026 and the remaining 5 in 2027.

In addition to this order, Air Algérie also placed an order for eight Boeing 737 Max 9 jets in 2023, which have yet to be delivered. Regarding its widebody fleet, the airline is working on fleet renewal as well. Deliveries of new A330 NEO widebodies began in late 2025, and so far, 5 out of the 8 aircraft have already been delivered.
