TAAG Angola Airlines has inaugurated a new dedicated cargo route connecting Luanda, Angola, to Nairobi, Kenya. The service officially commenced on April 30, 2025, marking a significant expansion in TAAG’s regional cargo network.
Flight Details and route significance.
The Nairobi route operates once a week, every Wednesday, utilizing TAAG’s Boeing 737-800BCF freighter aircraft. This aircraft has a capacity to transport up to 24 tons of cargo, offering 141.5 m³ of space on the main deck and 43.7 m³ for bulk cargo in the lower deck.

This new route is strategically important for TAAG, as it taps into Kenya’s robust flower export market. Kenya is one of the world’s leading exporters of cut flowers, and this service aims to facilitate the efficient transport of these perishable goods to international markets
The Nairobi service is part of TAAG’s broader strategy to expand its cargo operations across Africa. In addition to Nairobi, the airline has also launched cargo services to Kinshasa in the Democratic Republic of Congo and Libreville in Gabon. These initiatives are aligned with TAAG’s goal to strengthen its position in the African air cargo market and enhance connectivity between key regional hubs
