Emirates, one of the world’s leading international airlines, has announced the launch of its first Airbus A350 service to Africa, with Tunis becoming the inaugural destination on the continent. The airline will begin operating the Airbus A350 aircraft on the Dubai-Tunis route starting June 1, 2025. This marks a significant milestone in Emirates’ expansion of its A350 fleet, further enhancing its offerings to customers flying between the Middle East and Africa.
The new service will operate six times a week (excluding Tuesdays) on flights EK 747/748. This is a crucial step in bolstering Emirates’ presence in North Africa, with Tunis being the first African destination to benefit from the advanced capabilities and luxury of the A350. The introduction of this aircraft to the route is set to provide passengers with a modern and comfortable flying experience.

The Airbus A350 that Emirates will deploy on this route features a three-class cabin configuration, comprising 32 luxurious business class seats, 21 Premium Economy seats, and 259 Economy Class seats. The A350 is renowned for its cutting-edge technology, enhanced fuel efficiency, and passenger comfort, making it a standout choice for travellers.
In addition to its spacious and modern seating arrangements, the Emirates A350 is equipped with an array of innovative features designed to improve the in-flight experience. This includes advanced wireless charging capabilities, electric window blinds featuring the Emirates Ghaf tree motif, and the airline’s acclaimed ice inflight entertainment system. With 4K screens and Bluetooth connectivity, the A350 ensures passengers can enjoy a seamless entertainment experience on long-haul flights.
