Air India Increases Flights to Nairobi, Enhancing Connectivity Between India and Kenya

Air India is set to increase its frequency on the Delhi-Nairobi route, moving from three weekly flights to four, effective March 30, 2025. This decision highlights the airline’s commitment to strengthening its presence in Africa and offering more travel options to passengers between India and Kenya.

The additional flight on Sundays will provide greater flexibility for travelers, making it easier to plan trips for business or leisure. The updated flight schedule will see flights being operated on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. This increase in frequency will improve connectivity between Delhi and Nairobi, allowing passengers more choices when booking flights. Air India’s increased frequency will enhance competition and provide passengers with more travel options on this key route. In addition to Air India, Kenya Airways also operates daily flights between Nairobi and Mumbai, contributing to improved travel connectivity between India and Kenya.

This flight frequency increase is part of Air India’s broader strategy to expand its network in Africa, a region that has seen rising demand for air travel. Kenya is a significant business and tourism hub, and the increase in flights is expected to cater to the growing demand between India and East Africa. In addition to increasing its flights, Air India and Kenya Airways have recently entered into a codeshare and interline agreement, enhancing connectivity for travellers between the two regions. This partnership allows passengers to book seamless connections between India and several African destinations, making the journey even more convenient.
