SalamAir Expands its Reach to Africa with New Bi-Weekly Flights to Nairobi

In an exciting move to broaden its footprint in Africa, Oman’s low-cost airline, SalamAir, has introduced direct bi-weekly flights connecting Muscat International Airport to Nairobi, Kenya. Effective from Monday, February 3, 2025, this new route marks a significant milestone for the airline, making Nairobi its second destination on the African continent after Cairo, Egypt.

This addition to SalamAir’s network is a game-changer for travellers looking for affordable options between East Africa and the Middle East. The airline is offering introductory fares starting at just 49.99 Omani Rial (approximately Sh16,757.90), providing an exceptional opportunity for passengers to experience seamless travel at affordable prices. For those flying from Nairobi to Muscat, the cost of a one-way ticket will be around $129.80 (or Sh16,776.65).

SalamAir’s CEO, Adrian Hamilton-Manns, shared his excitement about the expansion: “We are really thrilled to add Nairobi to our expanding network, marking a significant milestone in our expansion into the African market. Nairobi is not only a hub for international travellers but also a growing centre for business, technology, and education. This makes it a vital link for those looking to connect with opportunities in both regions.”

As a low-cost travel option, SalamAir is committed to ensuring passengers have access to affordable and reliable air travel, making international travel more accessible to people across Africa and beyond. With the introduction of Nairobi, the airline’s continued growth into new markets promises to provide even more affordable travel options in the future.
