After a 5 year hiatus, South African Airways (SAA) has finally resumed flights connecting Johannesburg (JNB, South Africa) to the vibrant city of Dar es Salaam (DAR, Tanzania) with daily flights operated using an Airbus A320.

Not too long ago, Airlink was the sole operator on this route, offering daily flights onboard their Embraer E190. Fast forward a couple of months, and the route now has three airlines competing for passengers with Air Tanzania having launched flights less than two months ago, albeit at a lower frequency of 4 weekly flights.
