Air Tanzania has resumed direct flights between Julius Nyerere International Airport (JNIA) in Dar es Salaam and OR Tambo International Airport (JNB) in Johannesburg. This significant development will strengthen travel connections between Tanzania and South Africa, opening up new possibilities for business travellers, tourists, and cultural enthusiasts alike.
The two destinations will be connected with five weekly flights that will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Passengers will travel aboard the Boeing 737-9 MAX aircraft which features 16 Business Class seats and 165 Economy Class seats.

“We are delighted to resume this important route, which will strengthen the travel network between Tanzania and South Africa and stimulate economic, tourism, and cultural connections,” says Patrick Ndekana, commercial director of Air Tanzania.
