United Nigeria to add 4 aircraft to fleet in September

Three of the aircraft are Bombardier CRJ900s from South African based Cemair. The fourth aircraft, an Airbus A320, has been sourced from Jordan. The CRJ900s will have a 90-seat capacity, whilst the A320 will be configured to carry a total of 164 passengers. The addition of these four jets will increase the airline’s fleet from the current four Embraer ERJ145s (1 is out of service due to an accident that occurred) to 8 aircraft in total.

The current fleet plan announcement is a huge deviation from what was announced last year when the airline made its intentions of adding 12 aircraft over a period of 2 years known.
