LAM Mozambique to add 4 aircraft to its fleet

LAM plans to increase its fleet count. There are plans to acquire four more aircraft this year, including two Boeing 737s and two Embraer ERJ145s. LAM operates 12 destinations on the domestic market and flies regularly to Johannesburg, Dar es Salaam, Harare, Lusaka and Cape Town, with Lisbon being the only intercontinental destination.

Since last year in April, LAM has been undergoing restructuring, which is being carried out by Fly Modern Ark (FMA), a South African company hired to recover LAM and strear it in the right direction. As things are, LAM leases aircraft from South African based Cemair Air in order to be able to keep up with its schedule, but in most cases, the airline still struggles as it faces massive delays on a daily basis.
