A Renegade Air DHC-8-300 operating for United Nations WFP had to make an emergency landing at Malakal Airport(HSSM, South Sudan). None of the 38 people onboard (35 passengers, 3 crew) suffered serious injuries.

The aircraft departed from Buny Airstrip in Jonglei, South Sudan, when it lost both main landing gear wheels and parts of the strut. An investigation has been launched to determine the cause, with maintenance and ground conditions at Buny Airstrip being the main focus.
