The inaugural flight on the Cape Town – Nelspruit Kruger International Airport (MQP, South Africa) route will be operated on the 2nd of April using a Boeing 737-800. Flights are scheduled to be operated two times weekly on Tuesdays and Saturdays, departing Cape Town at 9 am and arriving in Kruger by 11.30 am. The return flight departs from Kruger International Airport at 12.05 pm and is expected back in Cape Town by 2.50 pm.

“FlySafair’s new Cape Town to Kruger route is a blessing for inbound tourism in South Africa. With Cape Town’s international two-way passenger figures soaring to 1.4 million in the first half of 2023 alone, surpassing pre-pandemic levels, and the Kruger Park attracting around 4 million visitors last year, it’s clear that these destinations hold a special place on the global travel map,” said David Frost, SATSA CEO.
Currently, this route is only served by Airlink who operate two daily flights using an Embraer E190 and ERJ145 on the route. Safair is coming in with ticket prices that are almost half of what Airlink is currently charging.
