Fokker F50 crashes in Somalia

A Fokker F50 cargo plane operated by Jetways Airlines crash landed at Al Barde Airstrip in Somalia. The aircraft had 4 crew members onboard, sadly one of them did not make it whilst another was seriously injured. The aircraft is a complete write-off due to the extreme damage caused by crashing into a building.

The cargo aircraft was contracted by the United Nations (UN) and was carrying humanitarian supplies for the World Food Programme (WFP). Part of a statement released by the UN read, “The United Nations in Somalia expresses its condolence to the family and colleagues of the victim, and wishes a speedy recovery for the injured.”
