Kenya Airways has secured an Airbus A330-200 (9H-HFH) aircraft through a short-term lease from Hi-Fly. The aircraft will enhance operational capacity and flexibility for the peak travel season. The aircraft will also help reduce cancellations and delays due to ongoing challenges with procurement and delivery of spare parts, which has resulted in the grounding of some aircraft.
The A330 is configured with 299 seats (24 Business calss and 275 economy) and is expected to operate its first flight on the 21st of December. Hi Fly is a Portuguese charter airline with its headquarters located in Lisbon. The airline has no scheduled flights. Theor focus is on providing worldwide aircraft leases, charters and ACMI services. Their fleet consists of one A321, six A330s and four A340s.
