Air France B787 bound for Nairobi experiences mechanical problems

Air France flight AF814 departed Paris (CDG, France) for Nairobi (NBO, Kenya) on the 16th of October but had to return to France due to mechanical problems with the Boeing 787 that was operating the flight. About an hour into the 8 hour and fifteen minutes flight, the pilot informed the passengers that they would be returning to France due to de icing problems with one of the aircarfts engines. The replacement aircraft was a Boeing 777-200ER which arrived in Kenya on Tuesday morning, 9 hours after the scheduled arrival of the B787-9.
