Uganda Airlines launches flights to Mumbai

Uganda Airlines launched flights between Entebbe (EBB, Uganda) and Mumbai (BOM, India) on the 7th of October. The 4,890km route will be operated three times weekly using their flagship Airbus A330-800neo widebody aircraft configured with 20 business class seats, 28 premium economy seats, and 210 standard economy seats for a total of 258 seats. The airline operates two A330-800s supported by four bormbardier CRJ900s, which perform short and medium haul flights going as far as Johannesburg, which is 2,932km away.

Distance between Entebbe and Mumbai is 4,890km (3,038 miles) as the crow flies.

The Entebbe to Mumbai leg will be operated every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. Tuesday and Thursday departures are scheduled for 2015HRS (Entebbe time) with an arrival time of 0555HRS (Mumbai time). For passengers planning onward flights, this gives them multiple options with different Indian carriers conveniently timed. The return flights depart two hours later at 0755HRS (Mumbai Time) and arrive in Entebbe at just after mid-morning at 1235HRS. Saturdays departure from Entebbe to Mumbai will leave at 1335HRS and arrive in Mumbai at 2315HRS whilst the return flight will depart on Sunday at 0110HRS and arrive in Entebbe early morning at 0550HRS.
