RioZim plane crash in Zimbabwe

On the 29th of October, a Cessna C206 aircraft which belongs to RioZim departed Harare for Murowa diamond with 6 souls on board (5 passengers, 1 pilot). Amongst the passengers was RioZim boss and Indian businessman Harpal Randhawa, who had vast gold, diamonds & coal mining interests in Zimbabwe. His son is also saod to have been one of the passengers onboard.

The crash occurred in the Zvamahande area about 6 kilometres from Mashava in Masvingo province, Zimbabwe. The cause of the crash is unknown. Locals who witnessed the crash claim to have seen the aircraft circling in the air before it finally crashed. In February, a Piper 31 aircraft also owned and operated by RioZim had to make an emergency landing on a farm field whilst en route to Harare.
