South African Airways received an additional Airbus A330-300 and A320 aircraft, which will help the airline to continue its expansion into short, medium, and long-haul markets. A few months ago, SAA announced it would have five Airbus A320s added to its fleet as well as one A330 before the end of the year as part of its fleet expansion plans and it is great to see that the airline is on track to achieve this.
Interim CEO, Professor John Lamola, had this to say when the airline’s plan to lease six new aircraft was approved, “The aircraft will be delivered before the end of this calendar year, and the planes include a wide-body aircraft as well as five narrow-body aircraft – all of them Airbus equipment.”
