Proflight Zambia took delivery of their 3rd CRJ200 aircraft, bringing the total of 50 seater aircraft in their fleet to 4 (3 CRJ200s and 1 CRJ100.) Just last week, the airline took delivery of their first cargo aircraft in the form of a CRJ200 freighter. Director of Flight Operations Captain Josias Walubita said, “We are thrilled to announce the expansion of our fleet, as it represents our dedication to serving our passengers with increased convenience, comfort, and choice.”
This year has been a year of expansion for Proflight as they have taken delivery of multiple aircraft and launched flights to new destinations such as Durban and Cape Town. Commenting on the expansion, Captain Josias Walubita said, “Our commitment to enhancing travel options is evident in our expanded fleet. With these new additions, we have significantly increased our total seating capacity to 460, a substantial leap from 205 in 2022 and 137 in 2019, before the impact of the COVID pandemic.”
