Madagascar Airlines E190-E2 delivery delayed

Madagascar Airlines had originally been scheduled to take delivery of their first E190-E2 aircraft by June, but due to delays, the airline now hopes to have the aircraft delivered before September. Minister of Transport Valery Ramonjavelo said, “We hope, if possible, that one of the planes can arrive before September.”

Madagascar Airlines signed a deal in which the airline is supposed to receive three Embraer E190-E2 aircraft. The aircraft are supposed to assist the airline in launching new routes to the likes of South Africa and Mauritius. Of the 3 jets, only one was expected this year, whilst the other two are due for delivery in 2024.
