TAAG Angola has announced an incremental order for four Airbus A220 aircraft. The jets will be leased from Aviation Capital Group. TAAG Angola already has an existing order for 6 of the same jets with Air Lease Corporation, thus bringing their total commitment to 10 aircraft. The A220s will replace the airlines fleet of Boeing 737-700 aircraft.
“Incorporating four new A220 aircraft under this agreement is a clear sign of our international credibility and a major milestone in renewing the TAAG fleet. We are deeply committed to growing the company, leveraging our market share and destination portfolio,” Chief Executive Eduardo Fairen said in an announcement made during the 2023 Paris Air Show.
