Airlink continues to expand its footprint, and this time, they are adding capacity on regional routes. Due to high demand, starting on the 7th of August, the airlne will add more flights to Mbombela (formerly Nelspruit) and Bloemfontein.
“In response to market demand, Airlink is increasing flights between certain key destinations for local and international business and leisure travel. By scaling up Airlink’s schedule on these routes we are giving customers more convenient choices and connections, which provides travellers with greater flexibility when planning their trips,” explained Airlink CEO and Managing Director, Rodger Foster.
On the Cape Town – Mbombela route, Airlink is adding 6 weekly flights, increasing flights from 7 times weekly to 13 weekly flights.
The Johannesburg- Mbombela route will increase from 49 to 56 weekly flights. That is from 7 to 8 daily flights.
On the Johannesburg – Bloemfontein route, flights will increase from 19 per week to 26 per week. Monday to Friday will have 4 daily flights and only 3 daily flights during the weekend.
Airlink opeates a fleet that consists of the 37-seater ERJ135, 44-seater ERJ140, 50-seater ERJ145, 74-seater E170, 98-seater E190 and the 107-seater E195. The smaller jets are what allow Airlink to offer multiple daily flights as they have fewer seats to fill up. The multiple daily daily also offer passengers more flexibility when planning their trips.
