Kenya-based cargo airline Astral Aviation has launched a new freighter route from Nairobi to Tel Aviv. The inaugural Nairobi to Tel Aviv cargo flight is a major milestone that would contribute to Kenya’s export earnings within the agricultural sector especially horticultural crops among them fruits and vegetables.
The scheduled route will be served by a Boeing 757 freighter and aims to cater to perishable demand. The new route will facilitate the efficient transportation of goods and enhance trade opportunities between Kenya and Israel, benefiting the respective economies and fostering mutually beneficial partnerships.
The airline said it plans to increase its frequency from a weekly to twice weekly service and will switch to using the bigger Boeing 767 freighter in the future.
