ASKY Airlines (LFW, Togo) signed a significant lease agreement with AerCap, the world’s largest lessor of commercial aircraft. The deal involves the acquisition of two state-of-the-art Boeing 737-8 MAX jets, which are set to join ASKY’s expanding fleet between June and August. This milestone will make ASKY the fourth airline in Africa to operate the MAX variant.
The partnership between ASKY and AerCap is met with enthusiasm from both sides. Aengus Kelly, the esteemed CEO of AerCap, expressed his delight at welcoming ASKY as a new customer. “We are particularly pleased to place the first MAX in Togo,” Kelly stated. AerCap’s position as the largest lessor in Africa, serving 14 airline customers on the continent, positions them perfectly to support the growth and development of African aviation. As the lease agreement commences, AerCap is confident in its ability to provide the necessary resources for ASKY’s expansion plans, fostering a fruitful collaboration.

With this lease agreement, ASKY will augment its existing fleet of twelve aircraft, comprising eight Boeing 737-800s and four Boeing 737-700s.
