Big boost for Kenyan aviation industry

Lufthansa, Eurowings Discover, and the home airline Kenya Airways are all set to increase capacity on routes to and from Kenya as the aviation industry continues its recovery.

Lufthansa will increase flights on its Frankfurt (FRA, Germany) – Nairobi (NBO, Kenya) route from five times weekly to daily flights starting on the third of June. Flights are currently scheduled using the A330. Eurowings Discover will increase flights on the Frankfurt – Mombasa (MBA, Kenya) route from four to five weekly flights between the 20th of June and the 12th of September. The Frankfurt – Mombasa flight continues on to Zanzibar (ZNZ, Tanzania)

Lastly, Kenya Airways will be increasing flights on the Nairobi – New York (JFK, United States of America) route from five weekly flights to daily flights starting on the 19th of June. Flights between Nairobi and Amsterdam will increase from five times weekly to daily starting on the 15th of May. Both routes will be operated using the Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner.
