Saudi Arabian Airlines aircraft shot at in Sudan.

An Airbus A330 belonging to Saudi Arabian Airlines was caught up in cross fire between two groups fighting for power in Sudan. The jet is said to have been loaded and prepared for departure when the passengers had to evacuate the aircraft via emergency slides. All passengers are said to have been safely evacuated.

Airlines such as EgyptAir, Emirates, FlyDubai, and Saudi Arabian Airlines have already announced suspension of flights to Sudan with more announcements expected to follow. Other carriers who normally fly over Sudan are now taking alternate routes, thus making flights take longer.
