Turkish Airlines returns to Zambia

After a two year hiatus, Turkish Airlines has finally resumed its flights on the Istanbul (IST, Turkey) – Lusaka (LUN, Zambia) route. The route was first launched in December 2018, and it was suspended in March 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Flights will be operated two times weekly via Dar Es Salaam (DAR, Tanzania).

The aircraft chosen for this route is rather interesting as it is a Boeing 737 Max 8 jet. 11 hours in a single Isle jet! Would you tough it out, or would you rather fly with Emirates or Ethiopian who operate to Lusaka using widebody jets?
