Ethiopian Airlines to Offer Non-Stop flights from Harare and Lusaka.

Ethiopian Airlines will be making major changes to its flights to Zambia and Zimbabwe. Starting from the 26th of March, Ethiopian Airlines will be offering non-stop flights between Addis Ababa and Harare (HRE, Zimbabwe) as well as Addis Ababa and Lusaka (LUN, Zambia).

In the past, Ethiopian Airlines linked Lusaka and Harare in a triangular route by either operating from Addis Ababa to Harare to Lusaka and back to Addis Ababa, or, from Addis Ababa to Lusaka to Harare and back to Addis Ababa. The move to delink the two will make Ethiopian Airlines more competitive as it now offers a one-stop option to many of its destinations. This will make the travel times shorter, especially when compared to its competitors Qatar, Emirates, and Kenya Airways, who all still link Harare and Lusaka, adding to the travel time.
