Ibom Air announces expansion plans. Targets 7 new countries.

Ibom Air launched operation in Nigeria in 2019 and is already considered one of the best airlines in the country. Now, they plan on increasing their foothold in the country and beyond their boarders by expanding to seven regional destinations.

The countries that are targeted are Ghana, Cameroon, Liberia, Gambia, Senegal, Gabon, and Côte d’Ivoire. In order for the airline to expand to these new countries, an order for ten new Airbus A220 jets was placed last year. The jets will start arriving this year. The airline’s Group Manager, Marketing and Communication, Mrs Anie Essienette said, “Seven aircraft have been booked for international operations. They will be throughout 2023. As we speak, some experts have gone to inspect it to ensure that the aircraft are built to our specifications. Before the end of 2023, our own aircraft will be delivered, but the Airbuses will be supplied in tranches.”
