A Let410 (9L-LCG) operated by Air Eagle departed Jos Airport (JOS, Nigeria) headed for Maiduguri Airport (MIU, Nigeria). The aircraft had 4 crew members and 14 passengers.

The crew left JOS with visibility in MIU being reported as being 9km. By the time the jet arrived at MIU, visibility had dropped to 150 metres due to a dust storm. The crew entered into a holding pattern, hoping weather conditions would improve. Air traffic control advised the crew to divert to another airport, but the crew was unable to do this as they claimed to be low on fuel. The aircraft crash landed whilst on approach to runway 05. All 18 people onboard survived. The aircarft was damaged beyond repair.
