On the 12th of January, Kenya Airwyas flight KQ606 operated using a boeing 737-800 (5Y-KYD) took off from Nairobi (NBO) to Mombasa (MBA). About 25 minutes after takeoff the aircraft suffered cabin pressurisation failure. The crew descended to a safe altitude and proceeded to their destination. Passenger oxygen masks were deployed as expeted and no injuries were reported.
“Our crew immediately declared pressurization failure emergency through air traffic control and descended to a safe altitude of 10,000 feet after briefing the passengers,” said KQ in the statement.
