TAAG Angola will be launching two new routes from their base in Luanda to Durban in South Africa and the other to Accra in Ghana.
The Luanda 🔄 Durban route launched on the 17th of November and will be operated via Johannesburg. Flights will operate three times weekly every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Starting on the 30th of November, flights on the Luanda 🔄 Accra route will be launched with three weekly flights. Flights to both Durban and Accra will be operated using a Boeing 737-700NG with a two class configuration that has 120 seats.
On flights to Durban, it is important to note that the last leg from Johannesburg to Durban as well as the return from Durban to Johannesburg is being operated by a different airline that was not named by TAAG Angola. There are plans to eventually start operating direct flights between Luanda and Durban in the first quarter of 2023.
“Please be advised that Durban (South Africa) and Accra (Ghana) are new destinations (TAAG did not operate in those cities before), reflecting the company’s growth and expansion footprint into markets with high demand and international traffic,” said the company in its press statement.
