Air Peace Suspends flights to Dubai.

From the 22nd of November, Air Peace will stop operating flights to Dubai. A statement released by the airline read: “…we shall be suspending our Dubai operations till further notice. This is consequent upon the persisting non issuance of visas to Nigerian travelers by the government of the United Arab Emirates and the accompanying inconveniences.”

This ban comes three weeks after Emairates suspended all flights to Nigeria due to what it says is failure to repatriate about $85 million stuck in the country. Flights are only likely to resume between the two countries when Nigeria manages to convince Emirates and the UAE that funds stuck in the country will be made available. For now, travellers between the two countries who still want direct flights will have to use Etihad.

Air Peace flies to Dubai four times weekly from Lagos and Abuja using a Boeing 777.
