Precision Air ATR-42 crashes into Lake Victoria.

A Precision Air (PRF; Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania) ATR 42-500 with registration number 5H-PWF crashed into Lake Victoria on the 6th of November. The ATR was operating flight PW 494, from Dar Es Salaam to Bukoba with 39 people onboard of which 38 were adults and 1 toddler.

The crash occurred around 8:53am (East Africa Time) whilst the jet was coming in for a landing on runway 31 in Bukoba. Initial reports suggest bad weather was a factor in the accident. Of the 39 souls on board, 24 are said to have survived
