8 Cheetahs relocated from Namibia to India

On the 16th of September 2022, eight cheetahs began their journey to India where they will be kept at Kuno National Park in Madhya Pradesh. The eight cheetahs consist of five females and three males.

A Terra Avia (TVR, Moldovia) cargo Boeing 747-400 with a tiger face livery was used to transport the animals. The flight departed Windhoek (WDH, Namibia) on Friday the 16th at 04:38pm and arrived in Jaipur (JAI, India) at 02:10am on Saturday.

Cheetahs were declared extinct in India in 1952 and their population worldwide is a cause for concern as not many remain.

Is this a wise move or more should be done to protect the animals in their natural environment? Share your thoughts.
