Ethiopian Airlines orders Airbus A350-1000 jet.

Ethiopian Airlines will become the first airline in Africa to operate the iconic Airbus A350-1000 when they take delivery of 4 of the jets on order.

The order is an upsize from the current 22 A350-900 jets already on order of which 16 have already been delivered. This leaves outstanding A350 orders at 6 jets consisting of 2 of the smaller -900 variant and 4 of the recently order larger -1000 variant.

Ethiopian Airlines Group CEO Mr. Mesfin Tasew said, “We are delighted over the upsizing of the A350-900 on order to the largest variant, A350-1000, that helps us stay ahead of the curve in technology.
