TAAG ANGOLA AIRLINES

TAAG Angola Airlines took over a order made by Angola Expresso which failed to launch. The order is for 6 De Havilland Aircraft of Canada (DHC) Dash 8-400 jets formerly known as Bombardier Q400.

RwandAir

RwandAir launched its flights Guangzhou. The flights will be operated 3 times weekly via Mumbai departing Kigali every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. This officially makes RwandAir the only airline operating direct flights between Mumbai and Guangzhou.

Air Botswana

Air Botswana has finally been given the go ahead to start commercial service with their E170 which was delivered to the airline more than 4 months ago.

Kenya Airways

Kenya Airways launched flights to Geneva using their Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner.w Flights will be operated via Rome 4 times weekly.

Air Namibia

Air Namibia has been forced to reduce frequencies and suspend services on select routes due to aircraft shortage. Three of their four Airbus A319s are not operational, 2 are grounded in Johannesburg due to outstanding maintenance fees whilst one is in Cyprus.

Ethiopian Airlines

An Ethiopian Airlines Boeing 787 Dreamliner and a KLM Boeing 747F had a ground collision at Dar Es Salaam International Airport. The Ethiopian Airlines B787 clipped the tail (APU exhaust pipe) of the KLM B747 while taxing to it’s gate.

Asky Airlines

On the 15th of June 2019, Asky Airlines began its daily flights to Johannesburg. I must say it’s the most interesting flight route I’ve seen. Lome-Lagos-Libreville-Johannesburg 4x weekly and Lome-Lagos-Douala-Johannesburg 3x weekly.
