Protests against Kenya Airways plan to take over management of JKIA to go forward…

A strike called by Kenya Aviation Workers Union (KAWU) in protest of Kenya Airways plan to take over the management of Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) is set to go ahead after negotiations to end the strike failed to yield positive results.
Employees from airport ground staff, cargo operators, flight attendants, duty free shops and other support service workers are amongst those expected to take part in the strike. Due to this, service at JKIA is expected to be greatly affected with flight delays and possible flight cancellations.
